When I hear the city name, Nashville, the first impression that comes to mind is, of course, country music, Elvis and the Grand Ole Opry. Well, as you search into just a few of the attractions in and around Nashville, these are at the top of the list, but certainly not the end. A look at what this Country Music Capitol has to offer will get any vacationer excited.
The number one attraction for Tennessee is naturally the Grand Ole Opry, where country music legends and today’s top musicians both perform shows for fans of all ages. In one year, hundreds of thousands of visitors come to hear performances on this world famous stage. You’ll be sure to hear a wide range of country music, including some the newest stars, oldest favorites, bluegrass, comedy, and gospel. Many unplanned, memorable moments have come due to the variety of Opry members performing all in one evening. The list of members is long and full of names we all know, such as Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and Carrie Underwood. Be sure to check the calendar at the Opry before you make your travels to Nashville.
If you are interested in staying at a luxury hotel or just seeing a landmark resort with a nine acre in-door garden, you can visit the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. Located on the Cumberland River, this beautiful and lavish resort has waterfalls and a “river” complete with paddleboat within its walls.
