Have merengue music bands died out?
I have a lot of vintage merengue music, and I consider it to be the best of its kind. I consider the old bands to have recorded really good music, and so I don't really care for the bands that play merengue music nowadays. As far as the existence of the merengue, it doesn't seem to be as present as it was in the '70s-'90s, since today you have more bands that prefer to play Bachata or another music called Reggaeton. However, I've always considered the merengue to be my favorite latin
music to listen to.
