To grasp the idea of how music has developed and grown over time we must first have an understanding of the different influences. To better understand how music works, let's use an analogy. If you can visualize a music composition is somewhat like a tree. It must have roots, trunk, branches and leaves.
So obviously the source affects the kind of fruit that is produced, the forces that influence and motivate the composer to write the type of style of Music, whether it be Rock, Pop, Blues, Rap, Rhythm and Blues, Soul Jazz, Gospel or Classical.
It's a very simple way of analyzing your own music as you compose. You take each element individually (pitch / register, rhythm / meter, timbre / instrumentation, texture, dynamics, etc.) and see how you've handled or controlled it. To compose music; it comes easy to some, to others it can be one of the toughest task to other. The good thing is, like most skills it's something that can be learnt and that's where this page comes in, you'll learn music composition starting with the basics right up to some of the more advanced ways of composing music. The composer can work with many sounds often not associated with the creation of music, such as typewriters, sirens, and so on.
There are many different ways to compose music; one of the easiest ways is to hum a tune, trying to hum something original, something that no one has ever heard before. If you play an instrument you can start composing music by playing anything at all and then when you hear something that you like, you go over and over it and use that as the theme for your piece. You can make some wonderful songs easily using this application.
