jazz music colleges
What music colleges would you reccomend I look at?

I'm traveling the east coast this summer... so i was just wondering if anyone knew of any schools with good music programs, specifically vocal.. I'm actually looking for a good vocal music school for me that also has a good band or jazz department for my boyfriend... thanks

I can tell you from experience, what school you go to has really no bearing for a musician. If the student is going for performance, the staff will be helpful, but even the "best" professors may not be good because if you don't click with them, or understand their methods, what good is it? Also, you don't get jobs because of where you get your degree. You get jobs because of your skills, and the person that makes the biggest difference in that is you. Ignore the whole thing of "better" or "best" school and find one local and low priced and just get the degree.
