1940s jazz music

Anybody know of a band that plays like this? Ten points guaranteed...?
These are songs performed by The Seatbelts and some other performers and composed by Yoko Kanno. It was for the anime Cowboy Bebop, and I know this all sounds immature but the music is GREAT! Please at least check it out, and then tell me if there are any other jazz bands that you know of that sound like this?

I've been browsing through some Jazz from the 1940s - 1960s but it isn't the same, although I could have skimmed over a treasure I was looking for.
Could anyone help?
(Please don't reply if you don't like to click links, it's important that sound resembles the above styles!)
Thank You.
My current favorite like this is Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band out of LA. Try this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RB8vzBcoEcg
A lot of the '90's swing bands had a bit of this sound, albeit mostly with a vocalist up front. Try Big Bad Voodoo Daddy or Royal Crown Revue for an idea of what I mean.
Lettuce and Soullive also have a bit of this sound, too, although it's a little more laid back and funky.
As far as earlier bands go, the band Chase was obviously a great inspiration for The Seatbelts. Try comparing the 1:20 mark of your Tank video to the 2:00 mark of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guM-I-8CQ74 to see what I mean. The trumpet parts are virtually a rip-off.
The Seatbelts are a great band, and fairly unique, but I hope I've pointed you toward some others you'll enjoy.
